Hello world!

Well, this is a first for me, entering the blogosphere. But I imagine this will soon be my home away from home or "old hat" as my mother would say. That's what she told me when she helped me buy books for college the first time. I was as nervous and excited then as I am now learning to explore social media and reach out to other authors and hopefully readers, too!

I am currently working on an undersea fantasy which means my brain is deep in the Pacific Ocean when it probably should be somewhere else, like the grocery store or paying bills. Ah well, the sea is a much friendlier place. As the poet, John Masefield once said, 

"I must go down to the seas again, for the call of the running tide
Is a wild call and a clear call that may not be denied."
